Selangor's investment, trade and mobility committee chairman recently laid out plans for better transportation in the state, including hydrogen-powered buses, a covered walkway in Shah Alam, a RM30 monthly subsidy to get more people onto demand-responsive transit, and a Selangor Mobility Master Plan. • Removal of liquid nicotine from poison list is unlawful: The High Court has determined that the government acted illegally, irrationally, and without proper consultation with the Poisons Board when it delisted liquid and gel nicotine products from the Poisons List back in 2023. • New criteria for military recruits: They have raised the age from 25 to 30, allowed for people to apply even if they wear glasses, and the minimum height has been lowered to 157cm. • The axolotlisation of Mexico City: Ahead of the FIFA World Cup next month, the city has decided on the axolotl as its official mascot, and thus have painted the town with it, including on trains and building walls. Alongside the salamander, the town's infrastructure has also been given a new shade of paint: Lilac. Some residents are unhappy, saying it is a waste of resources and would only appeal to tourists.
