First launched in Kuala Lumpur back in 2002 by Kakiseni, the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards, or “Cammies” as it is affectionately known as, were created to recognise excellence in theatre, dance, music and musical theatre. Over the years, they have grown into a key platform reflecting the energy, diversity, and evolution of Kuala Lumpur’s performing arts scene. Joining us are Low Ngai Yuen, President of Kakiseni, and Ee Lai Cheng, Director of Operations, to share the story of how the Cammies came to be, and why they continue to resonate with artists and audiences alike.
