Malaysia recently saw two back-to-back elections: Johor state elections and Negeri Sembilan. On top of that, there have been speculations that GE16 is around the corner. So tonight’s topic is bouncing off the election mood: Should Malaysia punish voters who don’t vote? Our debaters, Cellini and Tai Jie, go head to head on this, and then in the final hour, our judge Lee Yan Cheng (and our listeners!) declares a winner.
This show is produced in collaboration with MIDP Youth Institute, previously known as the Malaysian Institute for Debate & Public Speaking. You can find them on their website, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
