Music and dance can be a great way to connect people and get them out of their shell. So what happens when these elements are brought to a community of older adults? On this episode of Healthy Ageing, we dive into how arts-based interventions can help to improve the well-being of older adults, particularly their cognitive health. To do that, we speak to Peny Chan, the co-founder of ArtsProud, a social enterprise aiming to bridge the gap between arts and healthcare. She’s currently based in Dublin, Ireland as an Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health at Global Brain Health Institute. Also joining us is Prof Dr Rozainee Khairuddin, a cognitive psychologist and Director of the Mental Health and Well-being Impact Lab at Taylor’s University.
