Guest: John Beasley, Track Cycling Coach
John Beasley, the outgoing technical director of the Malaysian National Cycling Federation, is calling time on a 20-year run that helped take Malaysian track cycling to world-class level. Ahead of his move to Japan, he joins us to reflect on why he is leaving and what it took to build a high performance culture from a blank canvas. He looks back at the journey from early Asian breakthroughs to the Olympic podium with riders such as Josiah Ng, Rizal Tisin, Nurul Izzah Izzati and Datuk Azizulhasni Awang, and weighs in on whether the country can ever produce another Azizulhasni.
