Brand loyalty is changing. Malaysians are switching brands more frequently, but price isn't always the reason. Vase.ai research found that 83% of Malaysians surveyed switched brands in at least one category this year, driven by promotions, curiosity and greater choice. Many are also buying several competing brands rather than abandoning familiar ones.
Julie Ng, Co-Founder and CEO of Vase.ai, joins us to discuss what's driving this behaviour, why loyalty varies across product categories, and how AI, social media and online reviews are influencing buying decisions.
We also explore whether 11.11 and 12.12 sales are training consumers to wait for discounts, why memorable ads don't always mean memorable brands, and what marketers need to consider to win and retain customers.
